H&M - Bronzing Brush

This is the crappiest, useless bronzer I've ever encountered. I got this on sale from H&M last winter season. Since I got two pieces of bronzers at that time, I decided to use the other one first, and this one later on. And so, I used up my favorite bronzer already and now, it's time to give this one a try and my first reaction the first time I swiped this onto my face?! How come I can't see any changes?! Maybe I should put more on... How come I can only see glitters?! Damn!

Well, first, the brush sucks. It's a very hard type of brush, I don't even know where H&M got these materials from. It irritates my skin and it's very hard to make the powder even to my skin. Second, this is more of a highlighter in "bronze" than a "bronzing powder." All I can see is glitters and no brownish reaction to my face whenever I put them on.

I'm very much disappointed with this product that this will go straight to the bin! OUCH!

Bronzing Powder : Refined Golden

This Bronzing Powder from MAC - To The Beach Collection is one of a kind. There are two bronzers released from this collection from MAC. The other one is Golden, and this, Refined Golden. Golden has the same color as this, Refined Golden, only that it has no glitters on the powder. As you can see, Refined golden have small glitters on its powder. I don't mind them since I use it as a highlight powder anyway, more than as a blusher. I love a little bit of glitters from my highlighter because it adds more glowing effect onto my face.

Lip Liner - Temperature Rising

This is my very first Lip Liner purchase from MAC. I purchased this since I love orange and I have lots of orange colored lipsticks lately. I am used to using lip liners before applying my lipstick nowadays because it helps my lipstick to stay in place than having no lip liner at all. Well, I'll write a separate review on MAC's lip liner later on, when I got to try using it already!

Please don't hate me.. I know that I told you guys from my previous blog that I am NOT going to buy ANY of the incoming TO THE BEACH Collection from MAC. But it's so hard to resist! Anyway... Since I need a bronzing powder (My H&M Bronzing Powder is nearly used up!), and so, I need to replace it. I bought the Refined Golden. And also, a lipstick named "Thrills" from the To The Beach Collection. Well... That's about it for now! No to Marine Life! Wah! It's so pretty... To use as a highlight powder and a blush! Aaaargh!

I got this face and body bronzer from another MUA member from a swap, so I have no idea how much it costs over the counter.

This is the crappiest bronzer that I have ever used. I've tried a lot of body bronzers in the past but I never got a problem like this before. First of all, this face and body bronzer is in "oil" formula. Second, it states that it is a "face" and "body" sheen or bronzer. I tried this one first on my face and holy crap! It is too oily! The moment I put it on, I can feel the oil all over my face. It is so disgusting that I took it off immediately as soon as I put it on. The smell is bad, even though it is unscented. It is also hard to control when poured to your palms. The bottle itself is a crap, I can't even imagine this product is from YSL.

What else? This body sheen is just like a bottle of oil and glitters that are mixed together. It is too oily and when you leave the bottle for a day without shaking it, you can see the oil content on top. YUCK! Once, I was out with my friend and my friend noticed why I got too many glitters all over my body. It was embarassing that I have to tell that person that I used a body sheen on that day.

Good thing I didn't purchase this and I'm glad it's almost empty

Origins - Let It Show Bare Body Skin Enhancer

Are you sure this is a bronzer? I got this from MUA Swap. Actually, it was from a multiply swap and since I heard that the brand "Origins" is nice, so I gave it a try.

It has a very, very good smell. Everytime I put it onto my body, I love its smell. I just noticed that Origins products have that signature smell on each of their products. Try it, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Unfortunately, I don't really like the product itself (Except for its good smell). First of all, anything in "liquid" form is a no-no for me. I don't like liquids since it has the tendency of being messy and it is very hard to control. This liquid body bronzer from Origins is very liquidy, very, very hard to control. You just tilt the tube open and "boom!" liquid pours out of the tube uncontrollably...

Second, it doesn't really work for me. I tried to love it, believe me. But it's not really working. I don't get any color darker than my original skin color. Also, it's a bit sticky especially when applied on a hot and greasy day.

Anyway, I'm just going to finish this product. I'm not going to repurchase this. Good thing I just got it from a swap.

H&M Bronzing Powder

A bronzer is one of my make-up staples that I cannot live without. It's that important to my everyday life whenever I go out because no bronzer and no blush means a white and pale Rica. Yes. That's true. I look pale whenever I don't apply a bronzer and a blush. I can still remember one time, I went to work withouth my blush on because I'm feeling lazy on that day. One of my colleagues asked if I was feeling ok because I look so pale and I look sick. That was so embarassing! I told her that I am feeling ok, I just didn't put my blush on that day. Ever since that incident, I never, EVER leave the house without my blush on... LOL!

Anyway, I bought this blush for just one reason. IT WAS ON SALE. Yes, it was a part of their Crazy Winter Sale last 2009. It was 50% off the tag and I bought it for only HKD 20 at H&M. And believe me, it's a huge compact bronzer. The biggest on my make-up kit.

I love this bronzer because even though it was waaaay cheap, it didn't give me any break-out. Plus, the color is perfect for my skin color. With this on makes my face having that sun-kissed glow before applying my blush for that day.

I hope I can get it on sale the next time around! Better, better, better stock up! Haha!
