Kanebo Lavshuca - Rouge Star Classic in OR-2

Posted by Rica at 12:05 AM 0 comments

From all of Lavshuca's lippies, this is one of my favorites among the two. I got this from Watson's Personal Store in Causeway Bay for HKD 95?! If I'm not mistaken?! Oh I can't remember. I fell in love with this shade because it's unique and when I tried it to my lips... BOOM! It's perfect for my skin tone! I love, love, love this lipstick from Lavshuca because of its shade. I think I can't find this shade from MAC since MAC doesn't really carry that much coral and orange shades.

It is full of color, compare to the other Lavshuca lipsticks that I've ever tried. One or two swipes, you'll achieve the color that you wanted. Downside of this lipstick? Well, compare to other Lavshuca lipsticks, this one is not that moisturizing. I tried it on with a lip primer and it made my lips chip? chap? I forgot how was that called... But surprisingly, when I tried it on without my MAC Prep + Prime Lips, it worked okay! It is also unscented, which is one of the plus points of this lipstick, but very easy to wear off. It takes approximately 1-2 hours before you need to retouch your lipstick again. So if you're a lazy retoucher, and that you're going out on a whole day, be sure to bring this with you and that you won't get lazy retouching your makeup!

I would give this product a 3 our of 5 rating, although I'm not going to repurchase this again. Nor, I won't put it on swap.

Lavshuca - Powder Foundation in C

Posted by Rica at 1:05 PM 0 comments

This is a great substitute for my Maybelline Angel Fit Powder Foundation. It reminds me a lot of my previous HG powder foundation. Only that it is a bit darker and that it is a bit heavier to wear.

I bought this together with my Lavshuca Haul a few months ago but able to blog about it just now. Anyway, I bought it for only around HKD 65 over Watson's at Causeway Bay. Just lilke what I mentioned on my previous blogs, not all Watson's here in Hong Kong carries the Lavshuca line from Kanebo. So be sure to visit huge stores just like the one in Causeway Bay if you're looking for Lavshucas.

Anyway, I like the coverage of this powder foundation better compare to Maybelline's Angel-Fit Powder Foundation. Only that the color is not perfect for me, it's a bit darker, but when I choose the lighter one, it's too light for me. About the staying power of this powder foundation, it stays around 1-2 hours in my own experience and needs retouch after or else my face will be super oily.

I will not repurchase again since the color doesn't suit me. Good thing I didn't buy the compact! Only the refill! :)

Lavshuca - Mascara Base

Posted by Rica at 10:51 PM 0 comments

Even though I already found my HG mascara base / primer (Majolica Majorca's Mascara Base) , I still do try other brands for a change. I got from Watson's Personal Store over Causeway Bay for HKD 75. Take note: Not all Watson's Personal Stores here in Hong Kong carries the Lavshuca line from Kanebo. You can usually find them on large Watson's stores all over Hong Kong. Mostly the ones in populated area such as Causeway Bay, Mongkok, Tsim Sha Tsui, etc. just to be sure.
Anyway, I bought a lot of products from Lavshuca mostly not because of the reviews over the internet but mostly because of its beautiful, cute packaging. LOL. If you still haven't noticed, Lavshuca's packaging comes in a princessy and very girly packaging which I think for my opinion attracts most of its buyers.

Anyway, this mascara base / primer from Lavshuca is not that bad after all. It comes in a small mascara tube, smaller than Majolica Majorca's. Also, the brush that comes with this is more of the "old-fashioned" style, compare to the other mascara brushes that you'll get to see nowadays.
Also, I believe that there's no fiber content included in this mascara base. I know there'a a bit of a "rave" for fiber extensions nowadays to extend eyelashes but this doesn't have one. Making it easier to take off after usage. I'm not really against fiber extensions, only that it is VERY HARD to take out after usage. It usually takes 2-3 days for me before I can really take out ALL of its fibers on my lashes.

About the product, I think the product is "OK" but not fully contented with it. Why? Not sure why. Maybe because of the brush?! I'm not really awed with its brush... I think this product will work better if the brush is like the new ones. Also, to make it work better, I use my electronic eye lash heater / curler for better results.

Here's a pic of this mascara's brush: (sorry for the bad pic...)

Lavshuca - Skin Filter Base

Posted by Rica at 1:04 PM 0 comments

I got this primer / base for HKD 65 at Watson's Personal Store. It comes in a small white 25mL bottle / container. It claims it is "A makeup base which evens out the tone color of your face and covers all imperfections for better enhancement of your foundation."

For my own experience, well, I don't think there's any difference of this from the normal makeup bases / primers. I think it does even out the tone color of my face, but it does not cover ALL of my skin imperfections.

It is also in liquidy form, making it a negative for me. As I have mentioned in my previous blogs, I don't like anything that is liquidy because it's very hard to control compare to if it's creamy. This liquidy makeup base also comes only in one color, a beigy one, which fits my skin color perfectly. The small white bottle container is very messy.

About the staying power of this makeup base? Well, I need to retouch everytime making it a big no-no for me as well. I think I'm going to give this a pass. I'm really not that impressed with this makeup base / primer from Lavshuca.

Kanebo Freshel Moist Lift - BB Cream SPF 23 PA++

Posted by Rica at 9:15 PM 0 comments

I got this from Watson's Personal Store over Causeway Bay when I was doing some part time job for my previous company last Chinese New Year Holidays. I don't see a lot of Watson's that carries the Freshel line from Kanebo, I believe I only found one on this store at Causeway Bay near Lee Gardens.

Anyway, this is a BB Cream from the Freshel Moist Lift Brand from Kanebo and it is worth HKD 98 (as far as I can remember) from Watson's. It comes in a golden bronze packaging (which I really, really love!) for 50g.

Also, this is my very first time to ever tried a BB cream. I use tinted moisturizers at even at home because of the acne scars that I got last winter. :(

Oh yeah, if you guys are ever wondering what is a "BB" cream, BB stands for "Blemish Balm" and it is quite popular now in Asia. I think the Koreans started it first, followed by the Japanese and so on and so forth. LOL! Anyway, in short, it's more of an Asian version of "tinted moisturizer."

I love the texture of this BB cream from Freshel. It is not liquidy, more of a creamy base. You can apply this directly after applying your toner because it is very moisturizing. I like how it moisturizes my skin. It is non sticky, non greasy and keeps my face non oily for the whole day.

The only problem that I have with this cream from Freshel, Kanebo is that it only comes in one color. The color is too light to cover my scars, not to mention it looks yellow on my skin-tone. This is not suitable for a medium-fair skin tone color.

I think I would stick to my Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer better! :)

Sana Uroitaishi, The Moisture Ambassador! Moisture Mist

Posted by Rica at 4:47 PM 0 comments

I got this together with my Sana Uruoitaishi Moisture Cream at City Super for less than HKD 100. I already made a review about the moisturizer and you can find it here.

I use this Moisture Mist as a toning lotion after washing my face up and before putting on my Moisture Gel (moisturizer). Well.. It is a very, very light kind of toning lotion, which is very recommended if you have a sensitive skin. But for me, I don't like it because I would prefer something a little bit stronger than this one. Not too strong, but not light as well. I love this products from SANA because my skin doesn't have any surprising and violent reactions with this, not to mention the very, very cute packaging they have.

I remember one time, my mom asked some moisturizer because she ran out of hers and before opening the lid, she was looking at it. Probably, she was thinking, "Is this really a moisturizer?!" and even our helper at home thought that it was just a toy before. LOL! I would certainly repurchase the moisture gel because of its soft and buttery effect on my skin but not this moisture mist.

Lavshuca - Creamy Liquid Foundation in BE-1

Posted by Rica at 12:57 PM 0 comments

I got this Liquid Foundation from Lavshuca over the Watson's Personal Store in Causeway Bay for HKD 112. As you have known, not all Watson's Personal Stores over Hong Kong carries the Lavshuca line from Kanebo. Kanebo has a lot of product lines and this one is one of my favorites (some of their products works for me.. some doesn't) and not to mention they are very affordable.

This liquid foundation from Lavshuca comes in a very cute maroon tube. It's very princessy, and very Lavshuca. All of Lavshuca products comes in a very cute and princessy packaging. I read a lot of reviews over the net about Lavshuca products and most of them bought it because they find the packaging cute. LOL.

Anyway, this product from Lavshuca doesn't work for me. I like the texture of the product. It is creamy like, not watery at all. I don't like to put anything watery over my face since it is very hard to control. Anyway, this doesn't work for me. Why? Well, I find it cakey and sticky even with the loose powder on. I have a very oily and pimple-prone face so I don't like anything that doesn't have oil control. Also, I think this is not good to use during summer time because the coverage is thick. Yes, it has a very good coverage too. You won't even imagine that this is just a drugstore brand.

Well, another boo-hoo from Lavshuca for me! :(

Sana Uroitaishi, The Moisture Ambassador! Moisturizer

Posted by Rica at 7:19 PM 0 comments

I love, love, love this Moisturizer from Sana. As you can see, this comes in a very, very cute packaging. I really thought that this is a cheap-o kind of moisturizer because of its' packaging but I think I can say that this has a big potential to be my HG moisturizer if it has some whitening cream on it.

I need to fix my scars on my face first, but as soon as I get to fix this, I can say that this is my HG moisturizer.

I bought this over City Super, Causeway Bay for HKD 85. The fact that this is unscented (except that it has a very, very light chemical scent that doesn't bother me at all) is one of the plus points that I love the most.

By the way, here's how to use it. It's good that it has some English translations and instructions over the internet because it doesn't say anything in English on the packaging itself.

I observed that my face doesn't react with this moisturizer, but instead, it gives that very soft and buttery effect whenever I apply this on. It's very light, and not sticky compare to my MAC MoistureLush Creme. I use this every Morning and Evening before putting on my makeup to keep my face moisturized throughout the day. Another good invention from Sana! :)

Lavshuca - Separate Keep Mascara Volume in BK-1

Posted by Rica at 9:30 PM 0 comments

Presenting to you guys, my new HG mascara! Yes, I dumped my Majolica Majorca stuffs for this wonderful find.

I bought this at Watson's Personal Store at Causeway Bay for HKD 90. Take note that not all Watson's Personal Store carries the Lavshuca Cosmetic Line.

Anyway, before, I used to put on 5-7 layers of Mascara just to get the look that I wanted for my eyelashes. But with this, I just need 3 (primer included).

Here's how I put on my mascara before I found out about this:

1. Mascara Base / Primer
2. Imju Fiberwig Paint-On Flase Lashes (top)
Imju Fiberwig Finisher Paint-On False Lashes in Black (bottom)
3. Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus in BK999
Majolica Majorca Enamel Glamour Neo Mascara in BK999
4. ZA Wide Eyes Mascara - Comb-Type Brush in Black

See how many do I need to apply just to get that lashes that I wanted? But with Lavshuca's Separate Keep Mascara Volume in BK-1, I just need to apply this:

1. Mascara Base / Primer
2. Imju Fiberwig Paint-On Flase Lashes (top)
Imju Fiberwig Finisher Paint-On False Lashes in Black (bottom)
3. Lavshuca Separate Keep Mascara Volume in BK-1 (for top and bottom)

I eliminated one step with this new mascara find and not to mention my eye lashes has more volume and longer than before! I am very scared to try fake lashes that's why I preferred to stick with mascaras. Also, I noticed that my eyelashes doesn't stick together and doesn't feel heavy at all with this mascara compare to MM's. Also, it is very, very easy to remove compare to MM's which is very, very, hard to remove. Those fake fibers from the mascara itself gives me a lot of hard time taking it off after usage...

Anyway, I'm going to stick with this since this one is better. Goodbye Majolica Majorca, hello Lavshuca!
